GUITAR LESSONS

I am accepting private guitar students in my home teaching studio located in the Commercial Drive area of Vancouver. My location is easily accessible from Commercial Drive, Strathcona, Mount Pleasant, Main Street, Downtown Vancouver, Burnaby, and North Vancouver.

Teaching Style

I have been teaching guitar lessons full-time for more than fifteen years. Over the years I have developed a teaching style that finds a balance between learning the songs you love while providing a well rounded knowledge of how the guitar works. My goal is to teach the kind of lessons I wish I would have had when I was learning how to play the guitar.

I have unwavering patience for students at any level and in any style of music that inspires you. I teach a wide range of people: kids (some have even been with me from their very first lesson until continuing onto college for music), adults picking up the instrument for the first time, and expert musicians looking to take their skills to a new level.

Experience

I have been working as a professional guitarist for twenty years. I have a diploma of music from VCC and a degree in jazz guitar from Capilano University. I play with over 30 bands in just about any genre you could name and have performed across the world from Turkey to Tokyo, from Dawson City to New York City and countless places in between.

Rates

$30 / half hour
$50 / hour
